Julie Posluns (m.Sc.), Toronto Dog Trainer

I have helped hundreds of dogs in Toronto, teaching them new behaviours and solving problem behaviours.

Lessons are simple, straightforward and goal-oriented. Everything I teach is rooted in science-based methodologies that work.

Behaviour modification can be challenging. That's why I'm continuously working to improve my skills as a pet trainer as well as a human coach. My job is to simplify your training and amplify your results.

How it works:

  • Step 1: We set up an initial private consultation in your home where I will get to know you, your dog and your training goals.

  • Step 2: I put a management plan in place and outline a training plan to start improving your dog's behaviour. We get started right away.

  • Step 3: We set up a follow-up session to make sure you are on the right track.

First lesson (90 min): $150 + hst
Each additional lesson (60 min): $120 + hst

Lesson includes:

  • Notes and helpful resources
  • Follow-up email correspondence

More about me:

My practical experience working with dogs began as a dog walker and increased along with the growth of my company; our busy roster often included over 70 dogs, some of which required extensive behaviour modification. To achieve the Animal Behaviourist designation, I returned to school to pursue an MSc in Cognitive and Behavioural Ecology where I studied the interactions of unfamiliar dogs. Today, I enjoy working one-on-one with people to help resolve their dog's problem behaviour. Through my project Cat School, I devote a lot of time educating people about feline enrichment and demonstrating that cats are in fact trainable. Thousands of cat owners have benefited from my simple and effective training tutorials as featured on The Dodo.
